Dona Yarbrough has held several positions at Emory since her arrival in 2008. Before coming to Emory, she was the director of the LGBT Center and a part-time faculty member in Women’s Studies at Tufts University. Yarbrough received her Ph.D. in English from the University of Virginia and has taught numerous courses related to gender, race, and sexuality studies and early 20th-century American literature. In addition to serving as the Campus Ombudsperson, she is the Senior Director/Senior Associate Dean for Learning and Innovation in Campus Life, and Special Assistant to the Provost in the Office of the Provost.
